No Good Thing Will He Withhold: Why My New TV is a Testament to God’s Goodness

We live in a world that thrives on instant gratification. If something breaks, we rush to replace it. If we want something, we swipe a card to get it instantly.

But two years ago, when my television stopped working, I chose a completely different path.

I was actively building my house. I made a conscious decision that investing my hard-earned money directly into the construction was a much better move than purchasing a new TV. I chose to prioritize my long-term vision over temporary entertainment.

So, I waited.

The Quiet After Work

For two long years, my daily routine stayed the same. I would go to work, come home, and simply enjoy scrolling through TikTok on my phone. I didn't complain about the empty space in my living room. I kept my head down, stayed focused on my building goals, and trusted that my sacrifices would be worth it.

Then, God started moving the puzzle pieces together through a simple lifestyle change.

I recently decided to upgrade my diet to include healthier choices. As part of that new routine, I started buying Sunshine Snacks almonds weekly. Little did I know, this small, healthy habit was setting the stage for a massive blessing.

A Fan and a Specific Prayer

A few weeks ago, I went to a Jamaica Premier League match at the National Stadium. While enjoying the game, I was handed a promotional fan from Sunshine Snacks detailing their latest summer competition. Since I was already buying their almonds religiously every single week, I started entering the competition. 

As I submitted my entries, I didn't just type in numbers—I turned it into a very real prayer from the heart:"God, you see my heart's desires. Your word says you will grant me the desires of my heart. So help me to win the cash prize as I could use this on my house construction, or the TV since I don't have one."

I laid my request at His feet and left it there.

The July 7th Manifestation

Lo and behold, on July 7, 2026, the breakthrough arrived. I received a text message that changed everything.

God didn't just hear my prayer; He answered it beautifully. I officially won the grand prize bundle: a brand-new television along with a massive hamper of snacks!

Look at how perfectly God aligns things. By gifting me the television directly for free, He fulfilled my need for entertainment without me having to touch a single dollar of my income. My house construction budget remains completely safe and untouched, allowing me to keep pushing forward on my construction.

God is Indeed a Good God

Psalm 84:11 promises us: "No good thing will He withhold from those that walk uprightly."

God is indeed a good God. When we serve Him, put Him first, and practice discipline in our lives, there is absolutely nothing He won't and can't do for us. He sees the secret sacrifices we make in our daily lives and rewards them openly in His perfect timing.
