God Is My Source
I will never forget sitting in church on a Sunday morning back in September. The pastor walked up to the pulpit, and the title of the sermon flashed across the screens: "God Is My Source."
In that moment, the message deeply grabbed my heart. I didn’t realize it yet, but God was cementing my faith after a long season of waiting, framing my mindset for a miracle He was about to deliver.
Have you ever felt trapped in a compromising situation or a lifestyle of sin simply because you were terrified of how your needs would be met? I used to think I had to rely on my own strength to survive. But the moment I stopped compromising, walked away from what displeased Him, and decided to live out the truth that God is our provider, everything shifted. I went from worrying about tomorrow to living a life of one supernatural blessing after another.
I am living proof of the truth found in Psalm 84:11:
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”
The Breakthrough of Removing the Wrong People
There is a vital truth we must understand: sometimes, there are people in your life who are actively blocking your blessings.
The turning point for me came when I finally took a stand and completely blocked my ex. It wasn't just a physical boundary; it was a spiritual declaration that I was closing the door on a life that displeased God. The moment you remove the people who are tethering you to your past or pulling you into sin, you will be absolutely surprised by how rapidly successful, peaceful, and favored your life becomes.
A Timeline of Faith and Favor
Looking back, I can see exactly how the hand of God began to move the very moment I cleared the space for Him to work, answering months of patience with sudden overflow:
- The Year-Long Test: For over a year, I found myself without a working television in my home. I didn't stress or try to force a financial strain I couldn't afford. I just waited on the Lord.
- June: The test intensified. The phone I relied on entirely to run my business completely stopped working. It was a massive blow to my livelihood, but I didn't panic or consume myself with worry. I didn't even try to rush out and buy a new one. I just handed my business over to God.
- July: After more than a year of having no TV, I decided to enter the Sunshine Snacks Score to Win competition. I didn't just enter; God blessed me with a brand-new TV, ending that long season of lack.
- September: I sat in that church pew and received the word that God is my Source, anchoring my soul while I was still waiting for a solution for my broken business phone.
- October 2: After four months of trusting God without a business phone, I entered the Snacks and More competition. On October 2, out of all the entries, God blessed me with a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Looking at my living room and holding my new business phone, I can only ask one question: Who could it be but God?
Looking to the Future with Excitedness
I am so incredibly grateful and excited for everything God has done, but I know He is not finished with me yet. I am carrying this exact same faith into my future.
I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this overwhelming gratitude is exactly how I will feel when God grants me the man who will become my husband. I have been very specific in my prayers: I told God that I do not want any man who is going to pull me away from Him. My husband must be someone who draws me even closer to the Lord. That standard is exactly how I will recognize the man God sends for me.
Because I was willing to clear out the wrong connection and set this standard, I know that God is handpicking the right one for me. He is preparing a match so beautifully orchestrated that people will look at us in awe, wondering, "How did you manage to get a man like this?"
My answer then will be the exact same as my answer now: I didn't force it, and I didn't settle. I just trusted my Source.
One Blessing After Another
There is absolutely no need to compromise your relationship with the Lord out of fear of lack or loneliness. God takes care of His own.
Ever since I made the conscious decision to put God first, obey His instructions, and walk completely away from sin, my life has completely transformed. The door to lack closed, and the windows of heaven opened. I am witnessing a continuous stream of favor that money cannot buy and human hands cannot orchestrate.
If you are standing at a crossroads today, wondering if it's worth it to walk away from a compromising situation or cut off a toxic relationship—take the leap of faith. Turn your back on what displeases Him and walk uprightly. Rest assured, He will provide, elevate, and sustain you.
